ATH AD900 Review

Get Them Here ===== http://amzn.to/18nWIKl ===== Another in depth review of headphones from HeadphoneReviewHQ. This review is of the Audio Technica ATH AD900 Audiophile Headphones. You can get the ATH-AD900 here: http://amzn.to/18nWIKl The amps mentioned were the Fiio E11: http://amzn.to/16NafI6 Fiio E17 (amp/DAC): http://amzn.to/17p7uiy Pros: Excellent treble response Nice upper midrange Comfort Build quality Lightweight Unique design Fantastic soundstage Cons: Almost no bass without EQ'ing Lacking on the lower midrange frequencies without EQ'ing Sound leakage The ATH-AD900's are an excellent set of headphones if you love to listen to highly detailed music. Due to the real lack of any type of bass, these headphones aren't going to be for mainstream Pop-Rockers. These headphones are for people who will enjoy listening to classical, orchestral or instrument and vocal driven music. These aren't for the trance/dance/beat driven music that you'll find on 90% of the radio stations out there today (do radio stations still exist?!). All that being said here's my suggested genres: Best for Genres: Classical Singer/Songwriter Jazz Bluegrass Instrumental Opera Vocalists Stay away from any genres that require solid bass lines such as Rock, Rap, R&B, Pop, etc. These headphones definitely need to be amped to be appreciated and I highly recommend either the E11 or the E17 as they have built in EQ's which allow you to push the bass envelope and thus smooth out the frequency response of the AD900's. While these aren't for everyone, those who appreciate the genres listed above and yearn for a deeper, more open soundstage, these may be just the thing. Please leave me a thumbs up!!!!
