Russia has launched a new series of attacks against strategic targets in the Ukrainian rear, striking facilities linked to gas distribution, fuel storage, military logistics, and transportation. The attacks involved Geran-2 drones, FAB bombs, and other long-range capabilities, hitting sensitive points in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and along the logistical axis that sustains the operations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. More important than the immediate damage is the pattern that is beginning to emerge. Moscow seems increasingly less focused on destroying only frontline positions and increasingly interested in degrading the mechanisms that keep the war running: fuel, energy, trucks, depots, distribution centers, and support infrastructure. In other words, Russia appears to be waging a war against Ukraine's mobility and operational speed.
