Flesh, Memory and Pink (2026) - A Short Art Documentary

Flesh, Memory and Pink began in the aftermath of my mother’s fracture, a moment that altered not only her body, but my understanding of fragility, care, and survival. In confronting the weight of that experience, I found myself questioning how people endure their private battles, how pain reshapes identity, and how the body carries histories that words often cannot express. This documentary grew from conversations with strangers. I interviewed people about their struggles, photographed them, and transformed those encounters into stylized paintings that exist between documentation and emotion. Each work is an attempt to preserve something beyond appearance: the quiet resilience within vulnerability, the tension between suffering and tenderness, and the invisible memories held beneath the skin. “Flesh” speaks to the body as witness. “Memory” reflects the permanence of emotional experience, the way certain moments continue to live within us long after they pass. “Pink,” often associated with softness and vulnerability, becomes a space of emotional exposure: delicate, intimate, and deeply human.
