Every corner of this state has a story, culture, struggle, and unmatched natural charm. In the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand lies Dwarahat (Almora district), a peaceful hill town known for its ancient temples, traditional Kumaoni culture, scenic mountain views, and beautiful villages untouched by modern chaos. But behind this beauty lies a serious issue — “Palayan” (migration from villages to cities). Due to lack of employment, education, healthcare, and basic facilities, many villagers are leaving their ancestral homes and moving towards cities, leaving behind empty and broken traditional houses. To understand and experience this reality closely, India Jhanko Family visited an isolated and serene village called Kui Village, near Dwarahat in Uttarakhand. 🌄 We stayed there for 2 days and experienced village life very closely — 🌿 Peaceful nature and fresh mountain air 🌄 Beautiful sunrise and sunset views 🐄 Villagers’ cows, buffaloes, and traditional shelters 🔥 Cooking food on a traditional मिट्टी का चूल्हा (wood stove) 🏡 Exploring old Kumaoni architecture and abandoned houses 🥾 Nearby trekking and hidden natural beauty 🎶 A soulful musical bhajan session with villagers and family in open nature using tabla, dholak, harmonium, manjeera and more...
