Jericoacoara, or simply Jeri, is one of the most famous destinations in northeastern Brazil. Located in the state of Ceará, about 280 km from Fortaleza, this former fishing village surrounded by dunes is part of the Jericoacoara National Park and can only be accessed by 4x4 vehicles. In this video, we share our real experience in Jericoacoara, exactly as we lived it in October 2024. We travel from Fortaleza, cross endless dunes, and arrive at a village where the streets are made of sand, people walk in flip-flops or barefoot, and the beach is part of everyday life, both day and night. We explore the village center, the main square, nightlife on the sand, restaurants with live music, and the laid-back beach vibe that defines Jeri. We also visit one of its most iconic natural landmarks: Pedra Furada, a rock formation shaped like an arch, reached by walking over rocks and along the shoreline. We show you our accommodation in Jericoacoara, including its location, facilities, and surroundings, and share practical tips about daily life: schedules, weather, tides, long walks under the sun, and what the destination is really like. We also take the classic East Coast tour, visiting spots such as the Fallen Tree (Árvore Caída), Preá Beach, Buraco Azul, Laguna Beach, and the famous Lagoa do Paraíso, giving our honest opinion about each stop, extra costs, the tourism approach, and the strong focus on social media–driven experiences.
