Mike Dirnt: The Lost Interview with Steve Rosen (2004)
This interview with Mike Dirnt from 2004 occurred during a particularly interesting moment in Green Day’s ascension to superstardom. The band had previously released Shenanigans and Warning and were on an upward spiral but five months after my dialog with Mike, the trio would unleash American Idiot on the world and sit atop the mountain. This was in fact the bassist’s first interview for what would become the American Idiot album and as such, he stumbled around a bit trying to frame his thoughts and even evinces a bit of nervousness along the way. Still, he provided a great conversation both thoughtful and funny. Let’s see what he has to say… You can follow me on Instagram @steve.rosen.guitar.picks You can find guitar picks that i have for sale here: https://www.ebay.com/usr/spiritnation
