This 3D animation takes us inside the body and allows us to watch what happens when an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is used on someone in sudden cardiac arrest. We’ve used the real-life ECG strip of a sudden cardiac arrest survivor to illustrate in realtime what was happening to his heart and how the AED worked to stop all electrical activity and allow Steve’s heart the opportunity to begin beating normally again. Using an AED is easy and is the person’s only chance of survival! Simply by following the voice prompts, anyone can use an AED and have the power to save a life.
