There are private paths and seating areas throughout the hotel grounds that are literally facing the shore of the Pacific Ocean. Guests of the hotel have access to the hotel's outdoor gazebo. There is also a path that guests can take which lead to a stairway down to the beach itself. There is a clay tennis court that you can reserve as part of the stay. We stayed in the partial ocean and pool view room, and it was enjoyable. Quiet and relaxing stay during our two night reservation. As for wildlife, there are seagulls, pelicans, and a variety of other birds. Breakfast was complimentary each morning until 10am
