In today's lecture, we'll read about the miracles of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the widow of Nain's son, and the forgiveness of a sinner. In the seventh chapter, Luke recounts events that also occurred during the first, perhaps eighteen months or two, of Christ's ministry. But he places them within a somewhat understandable framework, following the Sermon on the Mount. He discusses what happens behind the scenes of Christ's dialogue with the crowds who come to listen to Him. And so, he recounts some astonishing things. We must note that Luke is most likely Greek in origin, although some suggest he may have been a Jew or a proselyte.
