Although there has never been a single or official explanation for their origin, most people simply associate it with the warm climate and a tradition that has become part of the town's identity. In this tour, I'll show you how these trees not only decorate the town but also visually define it. They're the most ubiquitous element on the streets, to the point of becoming a silent symbol of Bugalagrande. I'll also talk with locals to understand what they think today about this custom that has been passed down from generation to generation.
