How Does a Power Station Cooling Tower Work?
Hello and Welcome to ALW Exploration This video was filmed at Two Thermal Power Stations. Willington in Derbyshire closed in 1999 and the site demolished standfast the cooling towers. We explore these and give an engineering synopsis on them. Drax power station in the East Riding of Yorkshire is an Active Thermal Power Station. It is fuelled by Biomass and Coal. It has a 2.6 GW capacity for biomass and 1.29 GW capacity for coal. Its name comes from the nearby village of Drax.
