Rescate en Palmeras: simulacro con descenso guiado 🧗‍♂️🚑

In this video, we demonstrate the importance of training for emergency situations in the rescue of an arborist/palm tree worker injured in a palm tree. Constant practice allows for improved coordination, decision-making, and safety for everyone involved in the intervention. ⚡ Realistic Stress Simulation: During these training exercises, we recreate a level of stress similar to that of a real emergency, where nerves are on edge. This helps maintain composure, act quickly, and correctly apply rescue protocols. ⏱️ Rescue Time and Technique: In this exercise, Isaa was working on another palm tree when the emergency alert was received. The rescue was completed in 14 minutes, a time very close to that recommended by experts in working at heights (ideal: 10–15 minutes). The technique used was a guided descent of the injured worker accompanied by the rescuer, as a vertical descent was not possible due to the accumulation of dry leaves on the ground. Acting quickly not only reduces risks such as harness syndrome and other complications arising from prolonged suspension, but also allows for immediate intervention in cases of bleeding or any serious injury. 💪 Advantages of training under pressure: ✔ Improves reaction time. ✔ Facilitates decision-making under pressure. ✔ Increases team coordination. ✔ Reduces errors due to stress. ✔ Boosts rescuer confidence. ✔ Optimizes the application of protocols. ✔ Decreases risks during the intervention. ✔ Prepares for unforeseen situations. 📝 Practical recommendations: Plan the rescue before starting any work. Train the team regularly. Practice scenarios involving communication, first aid, and harness handling. Assign clear roles within the team. 🔥 Training and preparation make the difference between a safe rescue and a serious accident. Don't underestimate the importance of being prepared! @tree_calamarrr @franciscojosetorregrosa @ramas_mil #Rescue #treework #treeworker #palms #palmpruning #palmman #arboriculture
