Making Sound (cont.) - Week 3 Fall 2025 MUS 403 - Creative Audio Coding I

A continuation of the basics of making sound in SuperCollider, focusing on envelopes, multichannel expansion, Synth & SynthDef, and some helpful visual server tools. The error message at 24:30 is due to the fact that, when using function-dot-play, an envelope is automatically and invisibly created for us, which includes a gate argument named "gate," and which has a default value of one. But, I am also manually creating my own "gate" argument and giving it a default value of zero. SC is unable to reconcile this contradiction and throws an error.
