Every July 3rd, Silver Lake in Wyoming County, New York, celebrates Independence Day with its traditional Ring of Fire and fireworks display. As darkness falls, residents around the shoreline light flares, creating a glowing ring around the lake, followed by boaters enjoying a spectacular fireworks show. Holding the celebration on July 3rd has become a long-standing Silver Lake tradition, with July 4th reserved for other festivities, including the decorated boat parade.
