The Boeing Customer Code for United Airlines on This Particular Aircraft is 22. The Livery:This Livery was Called the"Battleship Grey"Livery and This Livery came about in 1993 at the request of then C.E.O.Stephen Wolf that United Airlines Completely Revised its Branding and Livery to a Primarily Grey and Dark Blue Fuselage,with Blue Stripes on the Tail.A Custom Times Font Reading"UNITED AIRLINES"In White, Replaced Saul Bass' Previous Lettering Style the Familiar"Tulip Logo"Remained,Although Slightly Smaller.The Narrow Red,Orange,and Blue Stripes Appeared Between the Grey and the Dark Blue and as a result,The Battleship Grey Livery was Conceived and this Livery was the Signature Trademark Livery Look of United Airlines until February 18,2004,When United Unveiled their New Livery which was Called the "Blue Tulip"Livery.The Battleship Grey Livery was Created and Designed by the Advertising Agency Consultancy Firm of the CKS Group, Whose Global Headquarters is Located in Cupertino,California. The"Star Alliance"Decal:United Airlines Joined the Star Alliance Along with Air Canada, Lufthansa,SAS Scandinavian Airlines System and Thai Airways International as one of the Five Founding Members on May 14,1997 Which Consists of 27 Airline Members from Five Inhabited Continents. The"Worldwide Service"Decal:This was the Main Slogan for United Airlines.This Slogan was Intended to Project a more Business Like Global Image for the Airline,Which was Rapidly Expanding Internationally. Number 5492:This is the Fleet Number on this Particular Aircraft. The Engines:These are the Pratt and Whitney PW2040 Engines that were Previously used on this Particular United Airlines B757-200 Aircraft. The"American Flag"Decal:This Flag Decal Represents the Country where United Airlines Currently Operates From as one of the Major Flag Carriers of the United States of America. Registration Ship# N592UA:This was the 89th United Airlines B757-200 Aircraft to Enter their Fleet and the First Test Flight on this Aircraft took place on June 28,1996 and was Delivered to United Airlines on July 10,1996.However, After 17 Years of Serving the United Airlines Fleet,It was Finally Withdrawn from Service and was later Stored Up at the United Airlines Aircraft Storage Facility, Located at San Francisco international Airport in San Francisco,California on July 9,2013 then was Ferried to Southern California Logistics Airport Storage Facility in Victorville,California on August 7,2013 where this Aircraft was Briefly Stored Up at Until FEDEX Acquired this Aircraft on April 15,2014 then was Ferried to the Mobile Downtown Airport Facility in Mobile, Alabama where it was Painted in the FEDEX Livery Scheme then Converted this Aircraft into a B757-200 SF Cargo Aircraft in September 2014 and Continues to Operate in the FEDEX Fleet as of January 2018 or at the time of this video review posting. United Airlines at One Time Registered and Operated as many as 181 of these Narrow BodiedJets,Including the B757's that was Acquired from Continental Airlines when the Two Entities Merged on October 1,2010.Now, Only 77 Remain Operating in United's Fleet ,In Which 56 of Those are the B757-200's as the B757-200's will Eventually be Replaced with the Forthcoming B737-MAX9 and the Next Generation B737-MAX10 as United is Scheduled to take Delivery of its First Aircraft in those Variants Sometime in 2018 for the MAX9 and 2022 for the MAX10 Respectively. The"Tulip"Logo(Displayed on the Tail):This Logo is Called the"Tulip Logo as it was once called, Was United Airlines Signature Logo from 1973 until Continental Airlines'Merger in 2010.This Logo was Designed by the Late Saul Bass (1920-1996),Who was a Graphic Designer and a Academy Award Winning Filmmaker.
