The low compression ratio (9.7:1) reduces the tendency to detonate, adds flexibility to the engine, and allows the use of 92 octane gasoline. It's more suitable for scaring animals in the forest than for racing. I know for sure that it won't disappoint off-road. It has excellent handling characteristics. There are some issues, but you get used to them quickly.
