Haman Akyang Ecological Park, Shasta Daisies and Cornflowers Located in Seochon-ri, Daesan-myeon, Haman-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, the park was developed as a nature-friendly cultural space that integrates the nation's longest embankment with the beautiful natural scenery of the Namgang River, as well as surrounding waterfronts and wetlands. It features facilities such as children's play areas, an outdoor performance stage, and a visitor center. Additionally, the park welcomes visitors seeking healing in nature by offering various attractions through the planting of wildflowers and pink muhly grass. White Shasta daisies are currently in full bloom at Akyang Ecological Park. This is the reason why so many people are flocking to the park. The Shasta daisy is also known as the Shasta flower. It is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Asteraceae family, created in the 1890s by Luther Burbank, an American horticulturist and botanist, through the crossbreeding of various daisy species. The name Shasta daisy is derived from Mt. Shasta, located in northern California. Mount Shasta is a volcano with perpetual snow, earning it the nickname "White Mountain" because it is always covered in snow. The name was given because the pure white petals of the Shasta daisy resemble snow. Currently, Shasta daisies are in full bloom at Akyang Ecological Park, adding a refreshing spring atmosphere to every corner of the park. Notably, this year the planting area has been expanded compared to last year to create a Shasta daisy flower garden spanning approximately 3,000 pyeong, presenting an even more abundant landscape. The pure white Shasta daisies swaying in the breeze offer visitors a sense of leisure on a spring day and are gaining popularity as a photo spot for families, couples, and photography enthusiasts. Additionally, cornflowers with their attractive blue hues are also in bloom. The pure white Shasta daisies and blue cornflowers harmonize to create a refreshing and colorful spring scene unique to Akyang Ecological Park. Furthermore, yellow Coreopsis are expected to reach full bloom around the end of May, making the spring flower scenery at Akyang Ecological Park even more spectacular. #AgyangEcologicalPark #AgyangEcologicalParkShastaDaisy #ShastaDaisy #HamanAgyangEcologicalPark #AgyangDikeRoad #AgyangEcologicalParkCornflower #AgyangEcologicalParkPoppy
