It is with this idea in mind that the Club organized this somewhat "atypical" morning session, where the focus is not on geopolitics, democracy, social cohesion, or other usual themes, but rather…on "philosophy." Françoise Schwab, a historian by training, was a close friend of Vladimir Jankélévitch during the last 25 years of his life and subsequently devoted herself tirelessly to editing his posthumous works and writings. She recently published "Jankélévitch: The Irresistible Charm of the Je-Ne-Sa-Quite" with Albin Michel, an essay that intertwines the biographical and intellectual dimensions of this major thinker.
