Landscape Photography in the Hottest Place on Planet Earth - Death Valley National Park In this video, I return to North America after seven long years to capture one of the most extreme landscapes on the planet, Death Valley National Park in California. With air temperatures nearing 57°C in the summer, this alien world of sand dunes, badlands, canyons, salt flats, and more will push your endurance and creativity to the limits. Death Valley is a geological marvel shaped by wind, heat, and time itself. Across my short visit, I documented the terrain through still photography, timelapses, nightscapes, and astrophotography. From Zabriskie Point’s ancient lakebeds to the sculpted walls of Mosaic Canyon, each location tells a story millions of years in the making.
