A massive fire destroyed homes and businesses on South Main Street in Waterbury, leaving families displaced and business owners facing major losses. Fire officials said everyone safely escaped the building, while two firefighters were treated for minor injuries, including one who fell through a floor while battling the blaze. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
