Visiting Historic LISBON CASTLE (Castelo de São Jorge)

LISBON, PORTUGAL: Visiting the historic Lisbon Castle (Castelo de São Jorge) situated on a hilltop above the steep streets of Alfama & providing some of the best views of downtown Lisbon & the wider area. 🇵🇹 See more of my vlogs from PORTUGAL here → https://bit.ly/mwt_portugal My first day in Lisbon and I headed up towards the castle overlooking the city. Once there I got to walk around the ruins of an old palace and climb some of the well preserved towers and bastions belonging to the fortification - which considering its age is still in top condition. Lisbon Castle (also known as Saint George's Castle) has a history that dates back to the fifth century CE and has endured its fair share of updates, modifications, improvements and renovations. These days it’s a popular tourist attraction and if you can make it up the hill you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how much there is to see.
