We survived a crazy snowstorm and the coldest week of winter in Canada so far this year - a bone-chilling -43°C! In today's video, we're bringing you along for a weeklong winter cabin getaway. We drove 4 hours from Toronto to the Lanark Highlands near Ottawa for a week of winter fun with my parents and their beloved King Shepherd, Togo. We spent our week snowshoeing in the woods, playing in the snow, enjoying long walks through the countryside, cooking hearty winter meals, and staying toasty by the wood-burning stove. It was everything you'd expect winter in Canada to be. We try to get away from the city a few times a year, and this was such a tranquil escape with no traffic, no people, and no WiFi!
