Growing up in poverty, Ronaldo’s family made many sacrifices, especially his mother Maria, who worked multiple jobs to provide for him. His father, José Dinis, introduced him to football but also struggled with alcoholism, which deeply affected the family. Despite the hardships, young Ronaldo showed incredible passion and determination for football, even skipping meals and schoolwork just to play. At only 7 years old, he joined C.F. Andorinha.
