How to Make Cheesecake

Berens Old Fashioned Brandy Cheesecake Recipe 🍰 Crust: 2 cups graham cracker crumbs 3 tbsp brown sugar 1 stick melted butter Instructions: Preheat oven to 325°F. Fill a baking dish with 3 inches of water and place on bottom rack of oven. Spray a 9-inch cheesecake pan with non-stick cooking spray. Mix graham cracker crumbs and brown sugar, then add melted butter and pat mixture into bottom and 2 inches up the side of pan. Filling: 32 oz cream cheese, room temp 1 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 4 large eggs, room temp 1/4 cup sour cream 1/4 cup Berens Old Fashioned Brandy 1 1/2 tsp aromatic bitters Instructions: Mix cream cheese until smooth, then add sugars. Add eggs, one at a time. Blend in sour cream, brandy, and aromatic bitters. Pour mixture over crust and bake at 325°F for 1 hour. Turn off heat and leave cheesecake in oven with door open for 1 hour. Chill cheesecake in refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Topping: 1 can or jar black cherries, drained (reserve syrup) 2 tsp cornstarch 2 tbsp Berens Old Fashioned Brandy Orange zest strips for garnish Instructions: Heat reserved cherry syrup with cornstarch in a pan. Add cherries and brandy, stirring until slightly thickened. Pour over cheesecake and garnish with orange zest strips.
