Argentina me hizo cuestionar el sueño americano

Argentina made me question the American Dream. Not because I think the United States is bad. Quite the opposite: I come from the United States, I love many things about my country, and I'm deeply grateful for the opportunities I had there. But after living in Buenos Aires, I began to feel something that I initially struggled to admit: perhaps the version of success I had learned was too limited. In the United States, success is often measured by advancement, production, independence, and achievement. And there's something very valuable in that. But Argentina showed me another dimension of life: presence, community, the long table, mate, asado, conversation, a hug, the "come visit" that changes the day. This video is neither a critique of the United States nor an idealization of Argentina. It's a personal reflection on what it means to live well, to be successful, and to build a life that not only looks good from the outside but also feels human from within. Perhaps the American Dream taught me how to build a life. But Argentina is teaching me how to live it. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
