Europe’s Best Secret 🇦🇱 Albania Travel Vlog | Saranda & Ksamil Travel Guide
I've been wanting to come to Saranda since 2016, and I'm finally able to cross it off of my bucket list. We started our trip in Tirana, and took a 4 hour bus ride to Saranda. We ultimately visited North Macedonia and Kosovo, and took a bus to all of those locations. The tickets were always around $15-$20 each, and I purchased them online. ** You can purchase bus tickets to all of the major cities in the Balkans on this website https://travel.gjirafa.com ** Saranda was gorgeous!!! My girlfriend and I went in the middle of May, and I think it was the best time to go. The weather was about 72 degrees (Fahrenheit), and there was not nearly as many people as I expected there to be. I personally don't like to be in crowded places, but if you don't mind, then you should probably come between June - August when there's more tourist and the nightlife picks up! The beaches were beautiful and the water was crystal clear. The water was a little chilly when I first got in, but it soon felt refreshing after getting used to it. The beaches are covered in little pebbles, not sand. It doesn't hurt to walk in, but I just wanted to give you a heads up! We spent 3 nights in Saranda, and I honestly could've spent more time there. There's plenty of things to do and places to see. Lost Seaside and Principotes & Tulum Lounge were such a vibe; I could've stayed there all day. I wish I would've went to Lekursi Castle Restaurant. It's a beautiful place to get dinner on top of a hill and watch the sunset! I was very surprised to see as many black people as I did; there was a decent amount. I certainly thought I would be the only one! The locals were extremely friendly and I felt 100% safe. I would definitely go back!! Albania is very affordable. This is a budget-travelers dream destination, where you can live a semi-luxurious life for a fraction of the price. ➡️ Saranda is also a 30 minute ferry ride from Corfu, Greece 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷 So if you've ever wanted to cross Greece off of your bucket list, this is a great opportunity to!!!
