Zimbabwean election fell short of democratic principles - SADC Observer Mission
President Emmerson Mnangagwa will lead Zimbabwe in the next five years. This after he was declared the winner of the Presidential elections at the weekend. Prior to the final election results, SADC observers reported that the elections didn't comply with democratic principles. Observers have pointed at incidents of intimidation against opposition political parties as one of the main issues. SADC Observer Mission Chairperson Dr Nevers Mumba unpacks this.
