Ep4. Install Pond Liner and Seal Folds In Fish Pond

Finally I am able to complete installation of epdm firestone pond liner and it is the fourth upload in my 'Backyard Garden Pond' series. I must admit it requires a lot of patience to install a pond liner and remove or hide or seal the liner folds. Practicing on paper doesn't help much and a liner inside a rectangular pond makes it even hard. But nothing better than completing it properly with a peace of mind that no debris will be trapped behind large folds in the liner and there won't be any dead spots in the liner of the backyard fish pond. This video will show you how I have installed 1.1mm epdm firestone pond liner and how I have folded the corners in my fish pond. Liner taping is very important to build a best backyard garden pond as it prevents big folds of liner coming out from the sides of a fishpond. I made 4 large folds in the corners of the pond. I have used firestone quick prime 250ml to prepare the surface, a double sided quickseam splice tape and singe sided quickseam formflash tape to completely seal the folds. The way I tapped the corners might not look professional but it does the job as you can see how clean my backyard garden pond looks from the inside. During the liner installation process, I managed to get the glass IN too. I will upload a separate video on how to make a frame and install a glass in a pond.
