Evolución propiedades suelo y composición comunidades microbianas y sus funciones en tecnosuelos

Dr. Isabel Miralles, professor in the Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry at the University of Almería, presents the TECHBIOSOL project. This project focuses on the evolution of soil properties, the composition of microbial communities, and their functions in technosols developed under semi-arid climatic conditions after the application of various organic amendments. The presentation addresses the study of restored soils in two abandoned agricultural areas, with the aim of evaluating their quality, biogeochemical functioning, and potential to harbor beneficial microorganisms. The presentation explains the experimental design and the main methodologies employed, including physicochemical analyses, enzymatic activities, soil respiration, amplicon sequencing, qPCR, and metagenomics.
