Triumph Spitfire - How to Change the Front Brake Discs & Pads

Hans at Rimmer Bros describes the process involved in replacing the front brake discs and pads on a 1965 Triumph Spitfire Mk2. Video serves as a guide only. For full procedures please refer to the workshop manual. Rossini Brake Discs: Rossini performance drilled and grooved discs are made from the best compounds with carbon & added manganese, molybdenum & titanium. The drilled holes cool the disc to reduce brake fade. The grooves reduce pad glazing and increase grip. The embedded Rossini logo on the disc face lets you know when they need replacing. Can be used with both standard and Green Stuff Kevlar pads. EBC Brake Discs: EBC turbo groove discs are handed (LH & RH) with curved grooves and dimples to offer superb stopping power when combined with EBC Green Stuff brake pads. EBC Green Stuff Brake Pads: Minimal Dusting Improved Stopping Power Reduces Heat Fade Made from Kevlar Material Parts Used: Hub Cap Lever Tool - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-11H1051 Standard Spitfire Brake Disc - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-208715 Type 12 Caliper Standard Brake Pad Set - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GBP166 Type 14 Caliper Standard Brake Pad Set - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GBP574 Type 12 & 14 Caliper Pad Fitting Kit - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GBK5914 Type 12 & 14 Caliper Bolt - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-113150 Type 12 & 14 Caliper Spring Washer - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GHF333 Brake Cleaner - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GBF901 Multi-Purpose Grease - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-RX2201 Outer Hub Bearing - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GHB110 Castle Headed Nut - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-LN2211 Split Pin - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-PC20 Grease Cap - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-102689 Type 12 & 14 Caliper Bolt - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-132439 Type 12 & 14 Caliper Spring Washer - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-WL600071 Copper Grease - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-RX1585 Additional Parts: Rossini Spitfire Brake Disc (Pair) - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-208715ROS EBC Spitfire Brake Disc (Pair) - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-208715UR Type 12 Caliper Green Stuff Brake Pad Kit - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GBP166GS Type 14 Caliper Green Stuff Brake Pad Set - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GBP574GS Front Hub Assembly for Various Spitfire Models: Early Mk1 - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID00...
