QRA Lightning Scramble
The last time a QRA Scramble of Lightnings took place in April 1988 at RAF Binbrook. The Lightning was then taken out of service. There are no flying Lightnings anywhere in the world now. I was very fortunate to be stationed at RAF Gutersloh during the early 70's where 19 and 92 Squadron's flew the F2a Lightning.
