NOS ATRAPARON DENTRO DE FORT NARITH | Gray Zone Warfare #33
We entered the Fort Narith runways for the first time. The entrance was completely clear, and we proceeded without incident until we completed the Neighborhood Help mission, where we had to check the fuel levels for Gunny, who intended to use it to steal the fighter jets stationed at the base. Our next task was to mark several fighters for the Hunt for the Fighter mission, but we made a mistake: we hadn't brought the necessary locators. We were forced to return for them, and when we tried to leave the area, we discovered that several guards had taken up positions at the exit. We had to fight our way through. With the locators in our possession, we returned to the runways and hangars. Just as we suspected, the area was now swarming with enemies. An intense firefight broke out inside one of the hangars while numerous soldiers fired at us from the runway. We took hits to our arms and legs as we tried to withstand the assault. In the midst of the firefight, we took down a target carrying a weapon of interest to Turncoat. Just when it seems we've cleared the area, more enemies appear from behind. Cornered and with no clear way out, we continue fighting as best we can until we decide to abandon the fight before nightfall. Our next stop is the control tower. Ammunition is running low, and we're forced to use first an SVD recovered from an enemy and then an AK found during the fight. After securing the tower, we find plenty of loot: weapons, armor, and backpacks. We also recover the information needed to complete the mission "A Matter of Evacuation." With our gear completely full, we can barely move. We mark the last fighter jet, climb over the base wall (throwing our backpack over the other side first), and head towards the Savanha outpost to deliver several missions. We still have "Double Exposure," which we started in the previous chapter, to complete. Night falls before we can finish the assignment, and we're forced to make the delivery in complete darkness. The area is swarming with enemies, and the constant flashlights make combat extremely difficult. Before retreating, we decided to complete one last mission. In Family Heirlooms, Turncoat sends us to retrieve some jewels hidden in a nearby house. We finally begin our return to the outpost, but several houses occupied by enemies block our path. After clearing the area, we manage to reach it without further incident and prepare to continue the operation at Fort Narith.
