Century Square, Tampines, Singapore, Feb 2020 Walking Tour 世纪广场, 淡滨尼, 新加坡徒步旅行

Century Square in Tampines, Singapore is built in 1995, beside Tampines Mall which is next to the Tampines MRT, which is 4 stops away from Singapore Changi Airport. It is a 6 storey shopping mall managed by AsiaMalls, which has 2 storeys of basement parking. It went through one round of expansion in 2005, and major renovation in 2015. Major tenants in Century Square include Filmgarde cinema, Prime Food & Grocer supermarket. Notable restaurants include Hai Di Lao Hotpot, The Meathouse by Eighteen Chefs, Green Signature Vegetarian, Boon Tong Kee, a famous Singapore chicken rice food chain, Soup Restaurant and The Food Market, Singapore food court chain. Hotwind also opened an outlet at Century Square just after one at 313 Somerset. There are also hairdresser salons that are well known in Singapore. In fact there are so many salons in Tampines shopping malls, it's hard to miss. There's an old time Malay barber shop though, uniquely in a shopping mall that one seldom finds in shopping malls in Singapore anymore. This Malay barber shop has a lower price tag of course, but not as low as neighbourhood HDB price tag, because of higher overheads, of course. This walking tour was taken at around 11am plus, when the shops were opened for not too long, before the lunch crowd swarms in from 12pm. Nearby Century Square, there are many office buildings with hordes of working class coming for lunch at all the available eateries and restaurants here. You may also spot some people wearing masks, because this is the time when the Wuhan coronavirus, now known as CoVid-19, was going on, having killed thousands in China and have spread worldwide. But nonetheless, with efficient controls by Singapore government, life goes on in more than 95% of places in Singapore. Hope you enjoy this walking tour and hope it helps you in anyway. Feel free to ask me any questions like where is the shop, which storey, how long to walk etc, I'll be happy to answer your questions! And pls subscribe to my channel for more videos! Regards, J
