Collodion Chat #16: Shooting Glass

In this episode I finally get around to demonstrating how to cut, clean, sub, and shoot collodion images on glass. I actually recorded two videos this weekend, this one and another one in which I attempted to make some dry collodion plates, but unfortunately my dry collodion technique is going to need some work. So in the meantime I'll give you this video, and hopefully be back in the future with a dry collodion episode. 00:00 - Introduction 03:28 - Preparing albumen subbing 13:08 - Cutting glass 28:12 - Preparing glass polish 33:04 - Cleaning glass plates 41:18 - Pouring albumen subbing 44:16 - Developing an ambrotype with subbing 46:52 - Developing an ambrotype without subbing 49:32 - Conclusion
