He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Isaiah 55:6-11 6 Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous his thoughts; let them return to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them; let them return to our God, for he will generously forgive them. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are my ways your ways, says the Lord. 9 As the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. 10 For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return there, but water the earth to produce its yield and sprout, giving seed to the sower and food to the eater, 11 so shall my word go out from my mouth not return to me empty, but accomplish what I desire and prosper in the work for which I sent it.
