Lecture 10: Equivalent Load on nodes in beam element
In FEA, loading can be only applied to nodes. If distributed or point loading is applied on the element, we need to find the equivalent loads on each node. To find the equivalent load, we simply find the reaction forces and moment on each node and then flip the sign to find the equivalent node.
