Chechens after their migration from the Caucasus to Jordan in 1902. 🕌 Through this visit, we shed light on the symbolic role of the mosque in the life of the Chechen community—not only as a house of worship, but also as a place that united people and preserved their identity and culture across generations. We also spoke with local residents to learn what they know about the Chechens, and listened to firsthand accounts from Chechens who still remember the stories of their ancestors: their first migration journey, how they settled in Jordan, and how they built a new life based on patience, hard work, and cooperation with the local community.
