LPG (P) Schönfels - Teil 1 "Ein Jahr in der LPG Schönfels" DDR 1988

GDR agricultural technology films at: [email protected] This historical document provides insights into the past of the LPG (P) Schönfels, with approximately 7,500 hectares of cultivated fields and meadows. A model farm that was rare in the GDR and unfortunately only existed until shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Schönfels is a village between the Saxon Vogtland and the Ore Mountains. The LPG was founded in 1953. From 1960 onwards, Schönfels was a fully cooperative village. Subsequently, the LPG Schönfels and Altrottmannsdorf merged. By merging with cooperatives from other communities, a powerful agricultural cooperative for animal and plant production was formed. Starting in 1991, the agrofarm was gradually dissolved. Bernd Arzt was chairman and head of the LPG plant production. The film footage was of very poor quality and has now been restored reasonably well. Best regards, Georg
