Integral Bridge Analysis using Soil Structure Interaction (Oasys Software Webinar)
Frew is being revised to simplify analysis of integral bridges using a soil-structure interaction procedure as outlined in the new Highways Agency publication PD6694-1. In a forthcoming new release, the final stage of a Frew analysis may be identified as an integral bridge analysis. More data input is then available allowing the user to enter initial values of H' and d' and additional material data. Frew then calculates revised material properties and applies prestress loading to a specific strut to model expansion and contraction of the bridge deck. H' and d' values are re-calculated and the process repeated until convergence is achieved. Oliver Riches, who has heavily contributed to this work, will be presenting the theory and application to FREW. http://www.ice.org.uk/getmedia/7bb873... http://www.oasys-software.com
