Chester-le-Stories: Christine & Jake

Welcome to Chester-le-Stories, a new limited series podcast sharing the memories of people from Chester-le-Street. From everyday memories to hidden moments from the past, this series sets out to share local stories through the voices of the community. Everything you hear in these podcasts has been shared by those attending the Bullion Hall Remembers group at Bullion Hall, a vibrant local community centre. This project has been devised, delivered and produced by Digital Voice for Communities. Thank you to everyone who has contributed. Chester-le-Stories is part of a Heritage Lottery Funded project made possible thanks to National Lottery players. With their support, we’re able to preserve, share, and celebrate the heritage of our town. Digital Voice for Communities specialises in amplifying the voices of those who may have less opportunity of being heard about issues that matter to them. We help develop digital and soft skills. We are a multi-award winning CIC with over 16 years of experience of digital inclusion and creative digital media. Organisations that have collaborated with us have told us how much it has helped the participants as well as often helping to improve policy and practice by highlighting issues people face.
