This lens had been serviced but the focus feeling was too light and a little uneven when at minimum focus distance. Whilst this 55mm f/3.5 shares the same optical formula as the latter 55mm f/3.5 AI lens, mechanically they are a little different in tear down. This lens may look different to your Micro Nikkor-P lens as it has the OEM factory aperture ring fitted and a replaced focus ring rubber (the pattern is AI/AI-S style instead of the diamond style of the original rubber) This lens is different to the AI Nikkors as this doesn’t require any JIS drivers but instead it requires various slot drivers: 1.8mm, 2mm, 3mm
