Midford signalbox - operational demo of our replica 'box

One of the attractions at the Trust's base in Washford, Somerset, UK, was a working replica of the interior of the S&D's Midford signal box. In this video, a train is offered to Midford by Bath Junction and then in turn, offered to Wellow, all with authentic bell codes. Please note that in order to keep the video short, time periods have been compressed - for example, a train passing Bath Junction would not reach Midford for some time, whereas this occurs almost immediately in the video. With the Trust receiving a Notice to Quit the site by the West Somerset Railway in 2020, this exhibit has now been completely dismantled and is currently in storage.
