🧋 Recreé el Caramel Macchiato de STARBUCKS en CASA.
Can you recreate a Starbucks Caramel Macchiato at home and make it taste the same? ☕️ Today I'm trying to copy one of Starbucks' most famous drinks using powdered ingredients and spending much less money. In this video, I'll show you step-by-step how I made my homemade version of the Starbucks Caramel Macchiato, the ingredients I used, how much it actually costs to make at home, and, most importantly, whether the flavor is similar to the original. Ingredients for a 16-ounce cup = 56 grams 24 g powdered milk 10 g coffee creamer 4 g espresso powder 6 g powdered caramel 6 g Nesquik 6 g maltodextrin (optional) 14 ounces of milk of your choice Liquid caramel to taste. Preparation. One of the things I discovered while making this recipe is that the secret isn't just in the ingredients, but in the quantities. You can have the same ingredients, but if the proportions aren't right, the flavor changes completely. Here, each ingredient has a specific function, and together they create that creamy, sweet, and coffee-flavored balance that makes the Caramel Macchiato so special. First, I use 24 grams of powdered milk. This is one of the most important ingredients because it provides body, creaminess, and that characteristic milky flavor of the original drink. Next, I add 10 grams of coffee creamer. Its function is to provide a smoother, silkier texture, as well as giving the coffee a richer, more velvety feel. Now I add 4 grams of espresso. This is the foundation of the entire recipe. The espresso provides intensity, aroma, and the necessary contrast to balance the sweetness of the other ingredients. Next, I add 6 grams of caramel powder. This ingredient is responsible for that characteristic caramelized flavor and adds depth and sweet notes to the drink. I also add 6 grams of Nesquik. Although it might seem strange, it helps round out the flavor, adds subtle notes of cocoa and vanilla, and makes the result much closer to the original. Finally, I add 6 grams of maltodextrin, although this ingredient is optional. Maltodextrin helps to better integrate all the flavors, adds more body, and leaves a creamier mouthfeel. If you don't have it, you can make the recipe without it. Once all the dry ingredients are mixed, I use 14 ounces of my preferred milk. You can use whole milk, lactose-free milk, almond milk, or oat milk, although whole milk usually provides a texture closer to the original drink. And to finish, the final touch: liquid caramel to taste. This ingredient not only adds more flavor but also creates those characteristic lines that make a Caramel Macchiato look so spectacular. In the end, the real secret is balance. Because in a recipe like this, the quantities are key to achieving a truly exquisite flavor. Serves 1. Preparation time: 2 minutes HISTORY: Although many people think the Caramel Macchiato has a long Italian tradition, it's actually a relatively modern creation. This drink was launched by Starbucks in 1996 to celebrate the company's 25th anniversary and quickly became one of the brand's most popular beverages. The name "Macchiato" comes from Italian and means "stained." Traditionally, an Italian macchiato is an espresso "stained" with a small amount of milk. However, Starbucks reinterpreted this idea and created a much creamier and sweeter drink, tailored to its customers' tastes. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LATTE AND MACCHIATO: The Latte has a uniform appearance, while the Caramel Macchiato stands out for its characteristic layers and the caramel lines that decorate the top, making it one of Starbucks' most recognizable drinks. In short, we could say that a Latte is a simpler, more balanced drink, while a Caramel Macchiato is a sweeter, creamier version with a much more complex flavor experience. And it's precisely that combination of vanilla, espresso, and caramel that has made millions of people around the world fall in love with this beverage.
