Together, we'll walk through the redesigned Claude Code desktop app interface, including a sidebar with keyboard shortcuts, pinned sessions with drag-and-drop, multi-project view, "preview" mode, and a Work Tree, which allows your agents to work in isolated copies of the project, preventing overlapping changes. I'll also show you new modes in Claude Code – Auto Mode with a built-in classifier that assesses whether a given action is safe or requires your approval – in my opinion, a much better option than letting Claude Code run in "YOLO" mode via "Bypass Permissions" 🤪 I'll show you a few extra features, such as session summaries in Claude Code and Sidechat available in the Claude Code desktop app, which allows you to ask side questions without losing context in the main session. Together, we'll explore the built-in marketplace with MCP connectors, skills, and plugins for Claude Code, which you can install with a single click in the app. We'll also explore Routines, which are routines that run locally or remotely in Claude Code, allowing Claude to perform specific actions on a selected day and time without your involvement.
