Jenny Joseph was modelling the torch lady on her lunch break. Michael Deas painted the logo and designed the logo. In 1993, Columbia pictures logo has the animation in the painting style and in 2006 and other years after 2006 Columbia pictures logo made the enhanced version with the same animation with the camera and a torch. In 2014 the logo has the transition of Sony logo. At the end of the Sony logo the O zoomed the camera closely and after the O has been zoomed, the clouds are moving away when the light is shining. Sony Columbia pictures logo has the same animation after the Sony logo since 2014. In the original logo, Columbia pictures has the byline “a Sony Pictures Entertainment company” in 2006 till 2013 the same byline as the original logo and in 2014, Columbia pictures logo changed the byline to “a Sony company” That is the logo of Columbia pictures from 1993 to the enhanced 2006 and the Sony logo in many new years after 2014.
