Should you run if you are overweight? Would you be better off cycling or choosing some other form of exercise? In my opinion running is fine when overweight, when you observe correct form and listen to your body. In my opinion the forefoot running style puts less impact on your joints. You need to run within your limits, if it hurts then stop running. Start slow and build up. Couch25k is a great example of a program that builds up running fitness slowly.
