God's weather (Job 38)

This is God's world, and it is God's weather. We accept that man as a steward of God's world may have some influence on climate, but we acknowledge God as the Master. That means that mankind is not the original or terminal authority or responsbility for the weather. It is God's weather absolutely and rightly, and he has established the stable framework and sends the particular elements. It is God's weather generously and graciously, because he cares for the world which he made and the people who dwell in it. And, it is God's weather purposefully and sovereignly, as he sends it for blessing and mercy, or in cursing and judgment. We, then, must take care how we think about, speak of, and respond to God's weather, but most of all we must ask about the relationship we sustain to the God of the weather, the God who made this world. https://www.sermonaudio.com/sermons/7...
