【20260712】ふるさとの風・しおかぜ共同公開収録 松本孟さんメッセージ収録
A joint public recording of the shortwave radio programs "Furusato no Kaze" (Wind of Hometown) and "Shiokaze" (Sea Breeze), aimed at Japanese abduction victims and specific missing persons residing in North Korea, was held on July 12th at the Tottori Prefectural Lifelong Learning Center "Kenmin Fureai Kaikan" (Prefectural Citizens' Interaction Hall) in Tottori City. "Furusato no Kaze" is operated by the Japanese government, and "Shiokaze" is operated by the Association for the Investigation of Specific Missing Persons. They regularly hold joint public recordings throughout Japan. While recordings have been held in Yasugi, Masuda, and Matsue cities in Shimane Prefecture, this was the first time in Tottori Prefecture. Since Kyoko Matsumoto, a government-certified abduction victim, lived in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture, the prefecture has been preparing for her return. At the public recording, Governor Shinji Hirai explained Tottori Prefecture's efforts regarding abduction victims and specific missing persons, and then recorded a message for Ms. Matsumoto. While previous public recordings used pre-recorded messages from the governor, this was the first time the governor himself recorded the message at the venue. Next, the host read a letter from Ms. Nariko Fukumoto, a colleague of Ms. Matsumoto from when she worked at a sewing factory. Ms. Matsumoto's brother, Hajime, also attended the public recording and recorded a message for Kyoko. Following the message recording, there was a live concert praying for the rescue of the abduction victims. Singers participating in efforts to resolve the abduction issue, as well as choirs and brass bands active in Tottori Prefecture, performed songs and music. At the end of the public recording, it is customary for everyone in the venue to sing the folk song "Furusato" (Hometown), and this time too, they sang "Furusato" to pray that the abduction victims and those who have disappeared under specific circumstances and are in North Korea will be able to set foot on their hometown soil again. Incidentally, Teiichi Okano, who composed "Furusato," is from Tottori Prefecture.
