Cupra Terramar (2025) | Perché Comprarla... e perché no
The Cupra family is growing and it is doing so upwards. Both because the Terramar is a true SUV that, therefore, develops vertically, and because this new model represents, in fact, the flagship of the brand, its standard-bearer. So, all the typical traits of the Spanish brand, on the Terramar, are exaggerated: the aggressive style, the technological and sporty interiors, the powerful engines. In this specific case, the 272 HP of the version under test are delivered by an interesting plug-in powertrain, which also promises to be particularly efficient. Let's see all the details of the new Cupra Terramar in this #WhyBuyIt. Three engines available with different power levels and two trims. With the first, the 1.5 mild hybrid 150 HP costs 43,000 euros, while the 2.0 petrol 204 HP with all-wheel drive starts at 47,500 euros. The plug-in, also here with 204 HP, for just under 49,000 euros. With the VZ sports version, however, the 2.0 petrol has 265 HP and costs almost 55,000 euros; the plug-in 272 HP and almost 60,000 euros. There is also a limited edition America's Cup full optional at just under 60,000 euros in the launch phase. The Terramar has a very strong character and therefore is aimed at a specific clientele. If mechanically, given that they share so much, an alternative could be the aforementioned Tiguan, in reality philosophically they are two different cars. There is the Alfa Romeo Tonale but, apart from the plug-in version, the Italian cannot count on equally high-performance engines. The ideal rival is the BMW X2 which, however, basically costs more. Finally, given the very similar dimensions, another alternative could be... another Cupra: the Formentor. 00:00 | Intro 00:27 | Exterior 01:14 | Interior 02:03 | Quality 03:13 | Infotainment 03:50 | Children 04:14 | Driving 08:04 | Consumption 08:20 | Charging 09:02 | Safety 10:24 | Prices 11:03 | Accessories 11:19 | Defects 11:38 | Alternatives 12:26 | Conclusions Motor1.com chooses PegPerego as a partner for child safety in the car.
