أَشْكُو كَبَائِرِي - الْفَقِيرُ إِلَى اللَّهِ

I stood at God's door, complaining of my grave sins, ** and hoping for forgiveness from the All-Forgiving for my transgression. My God, even if my paths narrow for me, ** Your pardon, O Lord of the heavens, is my refuge. I have sinned, and You, God, possess the power ** to pardon a soul dying of anguish. I came to You overwhelmed by my sin and my regret, ** Your generosity, O Lord of the Throne, is above my sin. I am the humble servant. By Your forgiveness and hope, ** and You are the Most Generous, You erase my great sins. How many evil deeds has God transformed into goodness, ** through His grace and forgiveness, which was the key to my Paradise. No servant who sought refuge in forgiveness, humbly, ** and extended to the Most Merciful the hand of supplication, was ever disappointed. When the scales tip in my favor on the Day of Judgment, ** the forgiveness of the God of the Throne is the salvation of my return. To You be praise, O Most Merciful, as long as the sun rises. No eye has shed tears to erase my sins, And I hope for God's pardon and forgiveness ** when it is said on the Day of Resurrection, "This is my record." The one in need of God
